Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Metro Novel website, applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by MetroJournal Online LLP (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. For security, the Service permits a single active session per account; signing in on a new device may end other sessions. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. Subscriptions, billing and renewals

• The first three (3) chapters of each novel are free to read. Access to chapter four and beyond requires an active paid subscription.
• Subscriptions are offered on a recurring basis (e.g. monthly or yearly) and are billed through our payment processor, Razorpay. Prices are shown at checkout and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Auto-renewal: paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle using your authorized payment method, until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize us and Razorpay to charge the recurring fee.
• You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details on refunds and access after cancellation.

4. Content and intellectual property

All novels, chapters, text, artwork, logos, and other materials on the Service are owned by MetroJournal Online LLP or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and read the content for your own personal, non-commercial use.

5. Acceptable use & content protection

You agree that you will NOT, and will not attempt to:

• copy, reproduce, record, screenshot, screen-record, download, scrape, or redistribute any content, in whole or in part, except as expressly permitted;
• circumvent, disable, or interfere with any digital rights management (DRM), watermarking, security, or access-control feature of the Service;
• share your account, resell access, or use automated tools (bots, crawlers) to access the Service;
• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

Each reading session may be watermarked with information that identifies your account. Unauthorized copying or distribution may be traced to your account and may result in suspension and legal action.

6. Third-party services

The Service integrates third-party providers, including Razorpay (payments) and Google (sign-in). Your use of those features may also be subject to the third party’s terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MetroJournal Online LLP will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kozhikode, Kerala, India for any disputes arising out of or relating to the Service.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
